The editing process is straightforward and transparent. All projects are handled confidentially.

You contact me with a brief description of your project, including word count and timeline. I respond within 24 hours. If I am unable to take on the work, I will let you know right away.
Based on the information provided, I assess the scope of the project and provide a clear quote and timeline. I typically charge by the hour, with flat fees or per-word pricing available depending on the nature of the work.
For per-word pricing, a two-page sample from the middle of the document is required to ensure an accurate quote.
Editing is carried out according to the agreed level and scope. If questions arise during the process, I will contact you immediately.
Upon completion, I will return the edited document together with a letter to the author that includes notes and general comments.

With a background in sciences and over a decade of experience in technical, academic and business environments, I understand both the subject matter and the stakes behind professional writing. I hold an Editing Certificate from Mount Royal University (Calgary, AB) and am a member of Editors Canada. I value continuing professional development and the ongoing refinement of my editorial skills. My work style is collaborative, professional and effective.
Based in Canada, I work with clients internationally. I am bilingual in English and German. With additional knowledge of French, Spanish and Italian, I am particularly attuned to the challenges faced by non-native English writers and can help ensure that intended meaning is clearly and accurately expressed in English.
I specialize in APA style for academic projects. For corporate or non-fiction work, I work with your preferred style or in-house style guide. My goal is to remove distractions to bring clarity to your writing and allow your ideas to stand out.
